When I look back, the thing that defines my childhood most is being the sick kid. I was always coming down with colds, viruses, missing school. It felt like my body just couldn’t keep up with life.
By my 20s, things hadn’t improved much. I didn’t feel great – physically or emotionally – and wouldn’t have called myself depressed, but I was depleted. I was running my own business and constantly searching for answers in doctors’ offices. Every appointment ended the same way: with a shrug and a handful of “maybes.” Maybe it was chronic fatigue. Maybe fibromyalgia. Maybe depression. Maybe, maybe, maybe. But never any real solutions.
Right before I turned 27, I stumbled on something unexpected. A course in Boulder, Colorado called How to Heal Yourself at Psychic Horizons Center. The title alone lit something up in me, but I had no idea what to expect, but I thought maybe, just maybe, there were answers there I hadn’t found anywhere else.
And let me tell you: it was life changing.
In that class, I learned simple yet profound tools for tuning into my own energy and, and this was brand new to me – releasing what wasn’t mine. Up until then, I thought the heavy weight I carried around was all me. My sickness. My personality. My fault. But no one had ever suggested that I might be lugging around other people’s energy, past lifetimes full of memories, or even cultural and ancestral baggage, in my body.
When I started practicing the techniques, something shifted. I felt lighter. Freer. For the first time in my life, I experienced my own energy without all the extra weight. That was nearly 2 decades ago, and these tools are still the foundation of my daily practice.
But Wait … Psychic?
Now, if you’re like me back then, the word psychic might bring up a very specific image: fortune tellers predicting the future, or people who can see ghosts. When I first heard about the next step in training, The Clairvoyant Program, I literally thought, “Oh, that’s not for me. I’m not clairvoyant.”
Spoiler: I was wrong.
Here’s what I now know: psychic simply means of the soul. It’s another way of saying intuitive, spiritual, empathic. And every single one of us is born with this ability. Some people come in naturally strong in it, others have to practice, but just like running or playing music, it’s available to everyone.
Your psychic senses aren’t about seeing the future (though sometimes insight about the future arises). It’s about tuning into your own inner knowing and the energy all around you. It’s about clearing away what doesn’t belong to you so you can finally feel who you really are.
Healing Isn’t Always Easy, But It’s Worth It
Once I got deeper into the practices, things got real. The layers I had carried my whole life (and lifetimes before that) began peeling away. I even went through what’s called a healing crisis, where things temporarily got harder before they got better (I wrote more about that here) But it was worth every moment, because I was literally healing my body, emotions, and spirit from the inside out.
The practice didn’t just help me feel better physically. It cracked open my spiritual curiosity. It gave me tools to work with my emotions instead of being buried by them. And it led me straight into my passion and purpose, teaching others how to do the same.
Why You Might Take Psychic Training
People sign up for psychic training for all kinds of reasons. Some just want to tune in and get to know themselves better. Some end up going on to read energy for others or offer healings. Some simply want to release the baggage they’ve been carrying so they can feel lighter and more free.
Whatever the reason, this work has a way of surprising you. You sign up thinking you’re just taking a class… and before you know it, you’re uncovering hidden strengths, healing old wounds, and connecting with parts of yourself you didn’t even know were there.
That’s what happened for me. I didn’t walk into psychic school planning to change my entire life. But that’s exactly what happened.
And maybe, if you’re feeling that little spark of curiosity, it’s waiting to happen for you, too.
I invite you to check out some of our trainings like Reclaim Your Space and The Clair Path if you are ready to dive in!
